SCCG Appoints Ivo Dimitrov as Vice President of Strategy

Ivo brings more than 18 years of professional experience across sports betting, product management, trading, operations, and commercial strategy. He joins SCCG from Pragmatic Play Sports, where he served as Senior Sportsbook Operations Manager. In this role, he established a new cross-functional position central to the company’s B2B sportsbook operations. His responsibilities included building and overseeing operational readiness processes, managing a portfolio of third-party vendor relationships, and achieving significant commercial improvements through cost optimization, enhanced reporting, and better alignment between product, trading, and finance teams.

Before his tenure at Pragmatic Play, Ivo held leadership positions in product and operations at Sportradar for over six years, serving as a Product Owner and Product Manager within the Managed Platform Services division. He was instrumental in launching products across various jurisdictions and channels, managed the company’s omnichannel sportsbook solution, and drove retail innovation in international markets. Earlier in his career, he was the Managing Director and Head of Online for a leading sports betting operator in South-East Europe, where he tripled the online business through effective digital marketing, customer acquisition strategies, and regional international expansion.

Ivo’s early career also includes roles in strategic consulting at Affinia Volo in New York and equity research at GLG Partners, a prominent hedge fund in London, providing him with a strong foundation in commercial strategy and capital markets that he now applies to the gaming industry.

In his new capacity at SCCG, Ivo will concentrate on strategic advisory, go-to-market execution, and partnership development for SCCG’s client-partners in both established and emerging regulated markets. A key aspect of his role will involve driving the implementation of Operational AI within SCCG’s advisory services, assisting client-partners in utilizing intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making, optimize operations, and uncover new revenue streams within their sports betting and iGaming businesses.

Operating from SCCG’s European hub, Ivo will bolster the firm’s international presence and support its expanding portfolio of sports betting and iGaming ventures.

Ivo holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Management from Aston University, UK, and has completed the Software Product Management specialization from the University of Alberta.
